Not locking this one because there's really no reason to.

Anyway, occasionally I get bored and I hop over to YouTube to just browse the videos. I went looking for Jackie Chan Adventures realted stuff once, and I ended up coming across some episodes in different languages. Since I'm a bit on the geeky side when it comes to languages, this made me very happy.

If you're interested, here are a few:

French: Rumble in the Big House. 1 2
German: Rabbit Run (Wenn Hasen Rasen) 1 2 3 4
Romanian: The Demon Behind (Demonul din spatele tau)  1 2 3
Japanese: The Dark Hand 1 2 3

My personal favorite is probably either the German or the French one, (French!Jade's voice is sweet enough to cause cavities) although I really like the Japanese one as well (Japanese!Shendu sounds badass).

I thought I had found an episode in Polish a while back, but I can't find it. :/

More episodes are uploaded, with majority on the same accounts of the people who uploaded the above ones. (Although,  I want to warn you that if you want to go looking for anything JCA related in any language, stay away from the fanvids. Just...do.)

Wow! I had seen all the other ones but not Romanian. That certainly was an... interesting dub, and it makes me glad we didn't dub it over here. We would have been even worse.

It also sounds really odd to watch JCA in Japanese. My mind keeps going "This doesn't look like anime!" because it's so weird watching something else in that language. :P The voices and acting are really good, though. And yeah, Japanese Shendu is scary.

My favourite is probably the German dub, but that could be partly because it's the only one of these languages that I can understand. And the French Jade? Yeah, that's super sweet. I like the French Uncle, though.

I wonder what it would be like in Chinese?

Watching these episodes is kind of sad because they make me want to have the entire series on DVD, which is probably never going to happen. :/

Really? There's not a Finnish or Swedish dub? Occasionally we'll get anime here in the original language, but with subtitles. Is it like that over where you live? Or just straight English?

A Chinese dub would be great. If one exists, I hope that someone has a copy and will upload it someday.

I've heard that people have seen bootleg copies of the whole series on sale at eBay (The seller's to be named Alaer Kino, I think), but it's supposed to cost a pretty penny. I've been TiVo-ing some of the episodes off of Jetix US, but I don't have all of them.

I don't know about Swedish, but for some reason they didn't dub it into Finnish. We usually dub all cartoons, but some (like JCA and Spongebob) remain in English. It's a good thing they do because we have only two companies dubbing morning cartoons and they have maybe a dozen actors between them. After a while, it gets boring to hear the same voices in every single cartoon. :/

Oh, Alaer. I remember her from the old days of the fandom, and I thought she moved on to Yu-Gi-Oh. I think there has been some DVD releases in France and one review of such a DVD has an image from season 2, so maybe they got better releases.
