Well, it's been an eventful week in the Dragon Quest fandom:
Tuesday: It was announced at the Dragon's Den that the fan translation of the PS2 version Dragon Quest V is finished! It can be found here.
Wednesday: Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 was announced.
Thursday: Dragon Quest VI DS went on sale in Japan. Still no word on an English release. Some additional information on impressions and the like, found by fatelr , can be found here.
The best seats are in Asia, but North American observers should be treated to an above average performance of the Leonid meteor shower, weather permitting. The trick for all observers is to head outside in the wee hours of the morning – between 1 a.m. and dawn – regardless where you live.
Hopefully it'll actually be clear tonight so I can actually see it. Or try to. Damn it, why are there so many lights around here?
Happy Halloween! I hope everyone's having a fun day. ^^ To celebrate, let us listen to the scariest line in one of my favorite movies... in twenty-sevent different languages!
...What, can't a college student still like The Lion King?
(Small note: In the Thai version of "Be Prepared," the hyenas say "long live the king!" in English. But in this scene, which is supposed to recall to the number, Scar says the line in Thai. I found that interesting.)
"The is expected to put on a good show tonight into the predawn hours Wednesday, weather permitting....The best time to watch will be between 1 a.m. and dawn local time Wednesday morning, regardless of your location."
Damn it, I can't stay up to watch this. I have a midterm tomorrow. D: Hopefully if any of you folks are still awake, you all can.

On a less strange note, can anyone recommend a good, safe program that can be used to decompress a .rar file? I'm trying to decide which one to use. Over the weekend I've been try to download an anime in .rar format that vampirenaomirecommended to me, but I have nothing to work with it.ing
